Crisis Support Services

Pastorserve Crisis Support

Navigating through a crisis is never easy, but we’re here to walk through it with you

We understand that the initial impact of any crisis can be overwhelming, but we are here to help. We have had the privilege of walking alongside countless pastors and churches in their journeys toward restoration and healing.

Whether it’s a call from a pastor, a pastor’s spouse, a dedicated staff member, or an elder, we are ready to provide compassionate care, thoughtful counsel, valuable insights, and a gospel-centered perspective.

In our toolkit of support, assessments play a significant role. We deeply believe in their power and value. From healthy churches to those in transition, those facing conflict, or dealing with severe crises, our church assessments unfold in three essential phases – the Pre-Assessment, the On-Site Assessment, and a comprehensive Post-Assessment Report. Let’s navigate this journey together, with confidentiality, understanding, and sincere commitment to the healing ahead that only God can bring.

What to expect

During this vital process, you can anticipate compassionate support and a deep understanding of your unique circumstances. We are dedicated to navigating the complexities of your situation and will engage in meaningful exploration to uncover insights that can pave the way to healing.

Pre-Assessment

Before going on-site, we request several documents from the church to help us understand the scope of the ministry, such as:

Vision &  Mission statement
Values documents
Attendance – last five years, etc.

We will conduct a pre-assessment interview with the Lead Pastor or an Elder. Additionally, a pre-assessment questionnaire will be sent to be filled out by each staff member.

On-Site Assessment

Due to the unique dynamics of crisis related situations, we’ll always travel with a team of 2-3 (men and women).

We will meet with the lead pastor and each staff person individually.
In addition to meeting with the Leadership Team either as a group or individually.

It would be helpful to meet with your Small Group/ Ministry Team Leaders too. We will ask you to schedule those meetings after a date for the On-Site Assessment is agreed upon.

Post-Assessment

Following our time with the church, we compile a thorough report which we will process with the appropriate key leaders.

Each Assessment Report includes:
On Site Assessment Observations, Interpretations and Synopsis
Specific Areas of Concern
Recommended Next Steps – Next steps could be a counseling intensive, coaching, mediation, required readings, a retreat, etc.
