Jeremiah Clapper
I grew up in South Bend, Indiana as the son of an Evangelical Free Church Pastor. Halfway through my freshman year at Taylor University I sensed a strong calling to ministry so I transferred to Moody Bible Institute where I graduated in 1997 with a degree in Bible and Theology. I served as a youth pastor and associate pastor from 1997-2008 in the EFCA. In 2008 we moved to Gillette, Wyoming where I was a church planter with the Evangelical Free Church and we planted Living Rock Church. At this time we had 4 children-Aaron-now 27, Joshua-now 25, Micaiah-now 23, and Gabriella-now 20.
In 2014 we moved to Greeley, Colorado where I served as the Director of Church Planting & Development for the Rock Mountain District of the EFCA. In this role I helped churches set up church planting residencies and send out planters to different areas to reach people for Christ. During this move we also adopted 2 children, Adan-now 16 and Zelalem-now 14.
During a difficult but fruitful season of life from 2018-2024 the Lord led me out of full-time vocational ministry and into ministering in the secular workplace at Greeley Subaru as a sales consultant.
After moving back home to South Bend, IN, the Lord brought Amy Alberts (now Clapper) into my life, and we were married August 16th of this year. I now have 5 new sons (Riley, Brendan, Maddox, Aiden, and Greyson, as well as a new granddaughter, Peyton).
During a particularly difficult season of life and ministry, I reached out to Pastor Serve, and it was a tremendous help and encouragement during that time. After experiencing the impact of Pastor Serve in my life I am overjoyed to now join this ministry and have the opportunity to be used by the Lord to serve other pastors in the same way.
