Jim Marvine
Jim is a well-respected ministry and business leader living in the Kansas City area.
In 2019, Jim began serving as President and CEO of Doulos Ministries Inc., a leadership coaching and discipleship ministry that operated a 40-year-old Christ-centered therapeutic boarding school (Shelterwood Academy). In October of 2022, Jim successfully negotiated a partnership acquisition between Shelterwood Academy and Embark Behavioral Health.
Jim was an inaugural member of the DFW Strengthening Leaders CEO/ED peer advisory group for C-level nonprofit executives. He was an active member of Strengthening Leaders (DFW) from its inception in 2014 until 2022.
Formerly, Jim successfully served for eight years as President and CEO of Bill Glass Behind the Walls, and evangelism training and prison ministry in Texas, founded by NFL all-pro Bill Glass in 1972. He also spent two years on staff at Grace Community Church in Arlington, Texas, as their Men’s Pastor.
