Jesus Christ Alone is the Hope of the World.

The past weeks have been hard to watch. Unprecedented national upheaval has shaken us to our core. Regardless of your political leanings, what has transpired in Washington DC and around the country is deeply concerning.

In the midst of the confusion, PastorServe has been asked if we have an official statement in response to the accusation of election fraud, the storming of the Capitol, the upcoming inauguration and the swing in the congressional balance of party power. People want to know what we think about the allure of political power and influence upon the local church and how this influence is shaping our culture. The answer is – of course we have a response!

We continue to believe that Jesus Christ alone is the hope of the world and that the local church is the primary vehicle for bringing the message of Jesus to a broken, lost and conflict-ridden world. We believe that pastors have been raised up to be the mouth, hands and feet of Jesus to deliver that message of gospel hopefulness, mercy and compassion to a world desperately in need of a message of grace, kindness and forgiveness. We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We believe that the character of God never changes. We stand on the truth that God is always at work, sovereignly overseeing everything. We believe that God was (and is) no less sovereign on the day of the storming of the Capitol than he was on the day he parted the Red Sea. We believe the Lord’s sovereignty on inauguration day is the same on the day that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the grave. God is fully in charge today, just as he was on the day of Pentecost. We believe God is always, consistently and forever working all things for the good of those who love Jesus and are called according to his purpose.

Believing this at the core of who we are and how we function naturally leads to a PastorServe response. And it is this:

We understand the turmoil pastors are presently experiencing. We are available to pastors – now! We are available to talk, process, listen and pray with pastors who are struggling to make sense of the world we live in today. While many people are yelling, we are listening. We are making available to any pastor a complimentary Care and Listening Session. This free resource is available because we know pastors need a safe, confidential, grace-centric place to process the events of January 2021.

If you are a pastor – simply send us a request from the website. If you are not a pastor, please forward this to your pastor. PastorServe is ministry committed to the glory of the Lord Jesus and the care of those who lead the local church. Our only hope in 2021 is to remain on our face before the Lord.

And by his grace, we will reach more pastors in 2021 than ever before. Thank you for being a part of the PastorServe’s vision That No pastor would Walk Alone and our mission to Strengthen the Church by Serving Pastors

Humbled Before Our Gracious Lord,

Jimmy Dodd, Founder and CEO
