Write Your Pastor a Letter

Hey. This is Jimmy Dodd with a one-minute word of pastoral encouragement.

Encourage your pastor! But a great way to do it is in writing. And I don’t mean just an email writing but actually write a letter, which might be hard for lots of you. You’re gonna have to find pens and stationery.

But you see, if you just say to a pastor, “Man, you’re really encouraging me. Thank you so much,” that means a great deal. But if you write them a letter, it can be read over and over and over again. And it will be read over and over.

Every letter which I have ever received, I file away because those serve as great sources of encouragement to me when I’m going through some hard times.

So, take some time this week and write a letter to your pastor telling them that you really encourage them.

I would also encourage you write the board of your church and tell them how much you appreciate your pastor and all that they do for you.
