Dean Kuest

Dean joins PastorServe with a connection to a partner ministry, Matthew 5:9 Fellowship, believing that a
polarized world needs a peacemaking church. 25 years of ministry as a student pastor, creative arts
pastor, and campus pastor within the same multi-site megachurch, as well as 8 years leading a church
plant, has focused Dean’s heart for leading followers of Jesus into an understanding of what it means to
be a peacemaker.

Peacemakers understand that conflict is not something to be avoided at all costs. Conflict is not an
opportunity to show strength and win. However, conflict is always an opportunity for Jesus to do His
redemptive work in us and shine His light through us, inviting the conflicted parties into deeper and
stronger relationships of trust.

Dean and his wife, Leslie, are both graduates of Pacific Christian College (now Hope International
University), in Fullerton, California. They raised five boys and now have four daughters-in-law and three
grandchildren (and yes, we finally got our girls – two granddaughters and a grandson).
